The EU TUMO Convergence Center for Engineering and Applied Science is a state of the art STEM ecosystem in Yerevan, Armenia. A hub for research, education, and startups geared towards university students and young professionals, the center will bring together partners, both local and international, to bridge the gap between higher education and industry in Armenia. It will be a mixed-use campus that connects students, researchers, and professionals to each other and with their global peers while fostering innovation and entrepreneurship. The Center will be comprised of a range of unique entities. On the educational/research/industry front, the Center will host TUMO Labs, 42 Yerevan, UFAR’s IT and Applied Maths Faculty, a shared hub, co-financing units, and a conference center. Each entity will interact with and complement one another in their respective areas of specialization. In addition to the aforementioned entities, the EU TUMO Convergence Center will also harbor office and retail space.
Ultimately, the EU TUMO Convergence Center’s primary objective is to support shared and balanced growth while addressing any constraints linked to innovation and education with a focus on STEM. In addition, the EU TUMO Convergence Center supports the following specific outcome objective: “Increasing the number and quality of engineers and technology professionals in Armenia in line with labor market demands.”
