Fondation Université Française en Arménie, or UFAR, has been one of Armenia’s leading higher education institutions since opening in 2000. To further develop its educational programs, UFAR will open a faculty of IT and Applied Maths in the EU TUMO Convergence Center, helping shape Armenia’s future tech professionals in the process.
The UFAR Faculty of IT and Applied Maths will grant undergraduate degrees through an academic partnership with Université Paul Sabatier Toulouse 3 in France. During the first two years of the bachelors program, students gain fundamental knowledge in theoretical and applied mathematics in addition to computer science. Beginning in the third year of the program, students deepen their understanding of programming, data processing, data analysis, human-machine interaction, machine learning, cryptography, image processing, artificial intelligence, and other relevant disciplines within the mathematics and computer science fields.
Thanks to close collaboration among the EU TUMO Convergence Center’s different entities, students will also be able to participate in projects at TUMO Labs in exchange for academic credit.
